Troubleshooting Heating issues with Radiant Health Saunas
Why does the sauna not heat up? Everything else seems to be working.
If the control panel is working fine, but the sauna does not generate any heat, check the connections labeled “5” at the top right rear corner and the bottom right rear corner (under the bench). Make sure it’s plugged in securely.
The sauna is slow to heat up
The heaters in far infrared saunas have a lower surface temperature to generate proper far infrared heat waves. It takes longer to warm up the air in the sauna.
The sauna is not getting up to max temperature.
The operating air temperature in far infrared saunas is lower than in traditional saunas, it’s between 115°F to 149°F (45°C to 65°C). In that range, the sauna is considered to be working fine. Generally, the ambient room temperature is required to be around 70°F (20°C) or higher for the sauna to get to the operating range.
The bench-skirt heater is not working
The lower heaters, like in the bench-skirt, bench and under the floor, are much lower power than the primary large heaters in the walls. However, they are working.
